1. ASCO 2026: Complexity at a New Scale
Large congresses have always been complex. What continues to change is the volume of engagement happening around them.
This year, Event Cadence supported 15 pharmaceutical partners across 250 meeting spaces throughout Chicago. While 137 rooms were located within official congress meeting room inventory, another 113 spaces were spread across hotels, private suites, and offsite venues.
That distributed footprint created a significant coordination challenge.
Teams needed visibility into room availability, stakeholder schedules, meeting requests, and last-minute changes, all while ensuring Medical Affairs, Commercial, and leadership teams stayed aligned.

Once onsite, 40 Event Cadence team members worked alongside customers throughout the congress. From schedule adjustments and room changes to device support and last-minute requests, the team helped ensure meetings stayed on track and stakeholders stayed informed.
Supporting a congress at this scale requires more than software. It requires people who understand the realities of life sciences events and can adapt as plans evolve in real time.
And between the long days and packed schedules, there was still time to enjoy Chicago together. A team outing to Wrigley Field provided a chance to recharge, connect, and celebrate another successful ASCO before heading into the next congress season.
6. Looking Ahead
The growth we’ve seen at ASCO over the last three years reflects a broader shift happening across life sciences. Teams need greater visibility, more coordination, and better ways to manage engagement at scale.
In 2024, Event Cadence supported 100 rooms and more than 4,000 confirmed appointments. In 2025, that grew to 133 rooms. This year, we helped coordinate 250 meeting spaces and nearly 8,000 confirmed meetings.
